Studio Alexander - San Francisco Office
Studio Alexander is excited to announce the opening of its new office, a space designed to foster creativity and collaboration among its team. Located in the historic San Francisco Design District, the office features industrial details and architecture. The studio opening marks a significant milestone for the firm, reflecting its commitment to growth and excellence in design. We approached the space with a moody paint scheme, creating a backdrop for colorful art, refined woods and sleek finishes. A warmth & elegance evokes a space that feels inviting and rich - to showcase to our clients & colleagues. This space was a blank white canvas that we turned into a functional studio space - that inspires us daily.
We added a brand new kitchen with plenty of storage & display space for glassware and objects. Flowing from the kitchen is our main materials storage space, conference table & media wall - a honed composite countertop & black cabinets set the stage for materials presentations. The main office boasts a warm gray sisal area rug, cork pin up wall and an espresso wood console to house our project materials. The space is activated with functional, yet handsome furniture pieces - making the space feel more like home than an office.
In the front entry, we have an inviting lounge which greets you upon arrival. The feature piece Is an agate stone table on a warm oak base, where we drew color inspiration from. The office had 2 existing closets that felt neglected and unsightly. Instead of hiding them behind doors, we embraced them. A soft lavender lime wash was applied to the interiors and functional shelving added for our fabric library. As you circulate from this space into the main office, you pass through a soft archway - which delineates the two volumes of the studio.
