  • Concept Design

    - Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, style, personality, and goals.

    - Develop a tailored project concept with imagery, materials, and sketch plans.

    - Initiate a discussion on design direction.

    - Outline the project scope.

    - Develop a preliminary budget and schedule.

  • Schematic Design

    - Further develop the initial concept based on client feedback.

    - Move beyond general color palettes to select specific finishes, fixtures, and furniture.

    - Refine plans and propose multiple layout options for client review and feedback.

    - In construction projects, bring in contractors to assess the space and provide an initial project bid.

  • Design Development

    - Finalize major decisions, including materials, lighting, and furniture.

    - Incorporate all details and specifications into a drawing set for contractor pre-construction coordination and pricing.

    - Select specific furniture, lighting, art, and accessories.

    - Begin procurement coordination, handling quoting, shipping, and delivery of selected items.

    - Continuously update project scope and budget to ensure costs stay within the plan.

  • Construction Documents

    - The design is fully realized by this stage.

    - Prepare all documents for construction trades to complete their scope of work.

    - Coordinate on-site with existing conditions to ensure all details are accounted for.

    - Finalize the drawing set, providing the contractor with an instruction manual for flawless execution of the design.

  • Construction Administration

    - Ensures the design is brought to life after months or years of planning.

    - Handle procurement tasks: placing orders, expediting shipments, and receiving items at trusted warehouses.

    - Regular meetings with contractors to verify design intent is being executed correctly.

    - Designer reviews shop drawings, finish samples, and site conditions to maintain high quality and design intent.

    - Address any necessary design changes during the construction phase.
